After hand-picking fully ripe cherries, we carefully depulp the seeds from the fruit. These seeds then embark on a unique 12-24 hour fermentation journey with wild yeasts. This not only removes the sticky mucilage but also prevents unwanted fungi from spoiling the beans. Our beans undergo a meticulous washing process before setting to dry. Using a high-efficiency Loring roaster, we take our beans to the optimal temperature releasing notes of walnuts, brown sugar, chocolate and hints of citrus. The result? A smooth, decadent cup of coffee.
Our caffeinated Clean Coffee is made from arabica beans, which, on average, contain about 1.5% caffeine by weight. For a typical cup of drip coffee, (2 tbsp coffee grounds / 6 oz water) you can expect about 100mg of caffeine. The exact amount of caffeine varies depending on the brewing method.
